🏆 South Pike School District Weekly Athletics Update
As Easter approaches, we have a busy yet exciting short week in athletics to look forward to!
🎉 Softball Success: A huge congratulations to our softball team for their undefeated streak against rivals McComb and Amite County! They wrapped up an outstanding season against the Tigers with 7 wins and just 1 loss. Well done to all the coaches and players! This Monday, they head to Port Gibson for their final regular-season game at 5 PM.
⚾ Baseball Showdown: Our baseball team is set to host Tylertown and Amite County on Monday and Tuesday. Monday’s game kicks off at 4:30 PM, and Tuesday’s at 5 PM.
🏆 Playoff Ready: Both our baseball and softball teams are gearing up for playoffs starting this weekend. Softball games 1 and 2 are scheduled for Thursday and Friday, while baseball games 1 and 2 will be on Friday and Saturday. We anticipate hosting games on Friday and Saturday, with travel on Thursday and Friday. Stay tuned for more details on times and locations.
🥇 Track Triumph: Congratulations to our track teams for their stellar performance at the 7-3A district meet, with the boys taking 1st place and the girls securing 2nd! The boys have now claimed their second championship in a row. This week, they compete in the Region 4-3A meet at Pass Christian High School, starting at 10:30 AM.
🏈 Flag Football Victory: A shoutout to our Flag Football team for their impressive 38-0 win over Richland! Special congratulations to Mrs. Latonja Lenard, recognized as the Week 2 MHSAA Flag Football Coach of the Week. Keep up the great work, team!
