Counselor's Desk

My name is Della R. Brown-Davis.  I have had the terrific opportunity of being the school counselor at South Pike Junior High School since 2021.  I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the University of Southern Mississippi, a Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis on Community Counseling/School Counseling, and an Educational Specialist in Administration and Supervision from Delta State University.  I am a member of the American Counselors Association, Mississippi Counselor Association, and the Magnolia State School Counselor Association.

My mission in serving as a school counselor is to provide a comprehensive, data-driven, and relevant school counseling program that addresses the academic, social/emotional, and college/career readiness needs of All students.  I work in collaboration with parents, teachers, administrators, and the community to create a positive school culture that recognizes individual differences and learning styles, skills, attitudes, and knowledge that will lead to each student becoming a successful citizen.
