South Pike High School held its annual Meet and Greet with students, families, and staff coming together to kick off the new school year. The event featured friendly faces, food, and drinks, creating a memorable day filled with excitement and joy.

South Pike High School expresses gratitude to Ms. Grace Knochel from Bailey Education Group for a valuable professional development session. The school aims for excellence in education with the motto "Expect Great Things. Do Great Things."

Student registration at South Pike School District will be delayed for the first two days of school (August 5-6) to prioritize student comfort and staff preparation. Registration will resume on August 7. The district appreciates understanding and support for a successful school year ahead.

Exciting news for South Pike Junior High families! Attend the Beginning of Year Student Assembly on August 7th at 5:30 PM at the Grace Jane Leggett Auditorium to celebrate student achievements on the 2024 MAAP Assessment. Your support is appreciated!

A partnership with the University of Southern Mississippi's Golden Eagle Teacher Residency Program celebrates graduates Kelly Ard, Chelsea Cook, Tiffeney Guy, and LaTasha McCray. New teacher residents Christopher Ross, Temikha Greer, Zari Hamilton, James Greer, and Joe Williams join. Cheers to a successful year ahead!

Pastor Joshua Gressett and The Restoration Place Church in Magnolia, MS, donated school supplies to South Pike School District, benefiting students. The generous donation included a backpack and supplies for each school. The district expressed gratitude for the support, which helps students begin the school year fully prepared.

Upcoming events include volleyball matches and cross-country tryouts. "Meet the Eagles" is scheduled for August 22, 2024, at the Willie E. Jones Coliseum. The community is encouraged to support the teams and show school spirit.

South Pike School District's August 2024 Convocation was a successful start to the school year, featuring games, prizes, massages, and manicures. Special thanks were given to contributors, guest speakers, and organizers like Mrs. Terri Baylor and Assistant Superintendent Warren Banks. Esteemed speakers included Mayor Tammy Witherspoon and School Board President Percy Martin. The event aimed to promote excellence and growth for the year ahead.

The South Pike High School Marching Band has been invited to the SOD Reveal 2024 event at Alcorn State University on August 24, 2024. Stay tuned for updates as the band prepares for this event.
